The Time Sert 1812 CORE-FL is an M8x1.25 thread repair kit used for stripped transmission pan bolt holes. The limited space in the depth of transmission pan holes require special tooling that comes in this kit. The holes are repaired with flush mounted steel inserts making the threads stronger than the original aluminum. The way the Time Sert inserts are held in (by the installation driver cold rolling the bottom of the insert and expanding and locking it in place) eliminates the possibility of the insert backing out. Some competitive brands of inserts can back out the next time the bolt is removed for dropping the pan. Time Sert solves this issue.
