Spark plug thread repair for M14x1.25, most commonly used for Chevrolet and other Domestic vehicles that use tapered seat M14x1.25 spark plugs. For first time repairs only. Larger tooling and inserts are needed when a Helicoil or some other competitive brand has failed. Tooling is long enough for extended reach and can be used for near surface spark plug holes as well using the shorter wrench. Kit includes 2 inserts p/n 44185 (.70") and 44183 (.40") for tapered seat plugs, meaning spark plugs without washers. Also includes 2 of the 44187 inserts which are taper seat and 24mm long. Typically used for Chevrolet and other Domestic vehicles, not recommended for Ford 4.6, 5.4 and 6.8 Liters. The tap in the wrench is approx. 8" in over all length using the longer wrench.
