AMP Amprobe Div. of SPX Tool Corp

Amprobe auto specialty tools was originated in Long Island, NY in the late 1940's. Amprobe was originally named Pyramid Instrument Company. In 1960 the company's name was formally changed to Amprobe Instrument Corporation. Amprobe continued to design, engineer, manufacture and distribute its specialty tools from its Lynbrook, NY location until it merged to form ATP and relocated to Florida in late 1999.
