TIME-SERT 1215C Summary: Using the correct thread repair kit allows the original size drain plug to be accepted. Many motorcycles like Ducati, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Honda use a 12 x 1.5 millimeter drain plugs.

Repairing the threads can be done in different ways. One way is to use an over-size tap and drain plug, making threads in the existing aluminum case. A much stronger method which allows the use of the original sized drain plug is to use a TIME-SERT KIT. The kit will not only restore the threads, it increases the strength of the threads because the replacement insert is made of carbon steel. Steel is much stronger than aluminum. The new threads will be better than new and will be able to withstand much more use than the original aluminum threads. So for crossed threaded drain plugs or for repairing threads that are simply worn out, choose the TIME-SERT 1215C upgrade for peace of mind.
